Baptisimal Preparation

Those involved in this ministry assist parish families through the Sacrament of Baptism. This includes hosting a meeting to help guide new parents on the Sacrament of Baptism. The meeting consists of a talk given by one of our clergy, Father or Deacon and an opportunity for a member of the baptism preparation team to answer questions and encourage parents to reflect on their own faith commitment. Baptism preparation ministers also assist once per month – the third Saturday of each month except during Lent and Advent by setting up the baptismal font, and welcoming and seating families with those who will be baptized. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of helping children start their journey as Catholics. Married couples are encouraged to volunteer in this exciting ministry.
