Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation completes our initiation into the Catholic faith that commenced with the Sacrament of Baptism. If Baptism is the sacrament of re-birth to a new and supernatural life, Confirmation is the sacrament of maturity and coming of age. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, God bestows an increased presence of the Holy Spirit on us so that we may work with deep faith and with abiding charity, and that we may help to bring to the world the fruits of reconciliation and peace. Strengthened by the Holy Spirit and His manifold gifts, we are committed wholeheartedly to the Church's struggle against sin.

Confirmation preparation is offered to those children in Grade 6 or above. Children in Grade 7 or above or registered in the Public School System and would like to prepare for this Sacrament are asked to contact the Parish Office. Registration takes place in November. Program Cost is $25/child to cover materials.

Our Confirmation preparation program is based on a series of Activity sheets, Mass attendance and Retreat day. Children preparing for this Sacrament are encouraged to participate in our youth program EDGE.
