Prayers for Morning and Evening

Morning Prayers

Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
O Sacred Heart of Jesus filled with infinite love for me and for all, accept the consecration that I make to You of all that I am and all that I have. Take every faculty of my soul and body and use them for your glory. Draw me closer day by day to your Sacred Heart and there teach me Your blessed ways of love. Amen

And/or Act of Consecration to our Mother Mary
Mary, my Queen, my Mother, I give myself entirely to you; and to show my devotion to you, I consecrate this day to you - my eyes, my ears, my mouth my heart, my entire self without reserve. As I am Your own, my good Mother, guard me and defend me as your own. Amen.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
O Holy Spirit melt me, mold me, fill me, use me. I give you full permission to use my life for your glory. Fill me with a love for God and others. Amen.

Prayer to our Guardian Angel
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here; ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

Finish with 1 Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be (to be said mindfully)

Evening Prayers

Lord Jesus, thank you for this day and all that has happened both good and challenging. Thank you for the gift of life, family, friends, work, and all the material possessions that help make life comfortable.

Thank you for the people and opportunities for me to be positive and kind this day. Please forgive me for the times I missed opportunities to be caring and compassionate; forgive me when I let negativity in my thinking rob me of hope, creativity and gratefulness. I am sorry. Forgive me if I used my time and talents in the wrong way today. Help me improve in these areas tomorrow.

Fill my mind and heart with peace this evening that I may awake knowing that God is with me, loves me, and calls me to flourish each day and to help others flourish, too.

Jesus, I love you. You are my Lord and Savour. Amen.

Finish with Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be (mindfully).
